Wow, this is a pretty awesome list. I had no clue that some of the creators and owners of those top, extremely popular sites were so young. It is true, you can make a living off the internet, no matter how young you are. The internet probably has the biggest potential, depending on if you know how to use it.

@ Tay: The internet is a goldmine. It’s just a matter on seeing things from a different perspective.
@ dennis: Indeed! But I guess, those are just the basic ingredients.
@ Toni: Yes. I hope to see you on the list soon.

Everyone says Kevin Rose is a millionaire, but he’d be the first to say (and has said, see Diggnation) that he’s not a millionaire, hence why he doesn’t have a new computer every episode and drive a Lamborghini. When he sells Digg he’ll be rich, though

Interesting list of what’s “possible”.
I am guessing it would be almost impossible to compile, but it would be interesting to have a list of what is “probable”. In other words, what is the probability that a reasonably savy, clever and hardworking person can make a better living off of starting a new website vs just having a regular job?
I also strongly agree with a previous comment - that it takes more than a brilliant idea. In my experience, ideas are much easier to generate than they are to bring to life. I’ll bet that for every idea on that list, there are thousands of people who had the same idea but never acted on it.
