The recently concluded 2nd Mindanao Bloggers Summit at General Santos City, Philippines was a blast! I have placed on hold my make money online stuff and join in the fun.

Here are the top 8 lessons I’ve learned from MBS2:

  1. Mindanao is “Still” the Land of Promise
  2. Often times, the war in Mindanao is being bloated by media. War, killings and hostilies are being attached to this wonderful land of promise. Little do they know that Mindanao is one of the best places to live in the Philippines. Located in the southern part of the Philippines, Mindanao boasts of its natural landscapes and blooming economy. Bobby captured Mindanao’s beauty behind his lenses.

  3. Bloggers Have Great Powers that Come with Great Responsibility
  4. Mindanao bloggers are being challenged by Jester, Walter and Hector to get together and shape Mindanao’s positive identity to the world.

  5. A Blog can Create Passive Income Stream
  6. Ria and Lyle shared the positive financial impact of blogs to their businesses. My adsense earnings amazingly doubled in this particular day. Coincidence?

  7. Bloggers can Work under Pressure and Pleasure
  8. While Aileen shared the perks of being a blogger, here are the bloggers in action — up close and personal.

    A "foodnographer"...

    Chattee, a "foodnographer"...

These are the "foodnographers" before eating sashimi.

with the gang, before eating sashimi.

  9. Network and Meet other Bloggers = More Link Love
  10. Gone are the faceless blogs.

    130+ bloggers graced the event

More than 130 bloggers joined the event.

  11. All the Best Things in Life are Free
  12. Free Wifi, unlimited coffee and free meals! What more can you ask for?

Thank you to our generous sponsors.

  13. Bloggers have VIP Access to PacMan’s Mansion
  14. Manny Pacquiao's Wall of Fame

Almost being like at the boxing ringside with Manny Pacquiao.

  15. When Bloggers are Not Blogging, Here’ What They Do…
  16. ... enjoying the scenic view at Sarangani Highlands with Aethen and Patrick.

... goofing around with Sarah and Tiara.

Congratulations to Avel and the rest of the Gensan team! You all deserve a standing ovation. Job well done! I can’t wait for Mindanao Bloggers Summit 3.
